I wish you all a Happy New Year and thank all of you lovely people who have supported handmade and makers of unique gifts.

With Christmas over and the New Year ahead I guess it's time to get back to the work space and start creating.

I love to make and ceate but am as equaly passionate about the presentation of my product. I love the receivers to enjoy opening the parcel I have sent them and each parcel is quite delicious and uniquely wrapped.

I thought I would share one an idea of wrapping your gifts and parcels with some leftover packaging material. Sorry but I am not too sure of it's name but it is used widely as protection around electrical products. I am a lover of organic wrappings but sometimes it's great to explore.

At this time of year my hand made gift wrap is low but I am sure you will all have some of that plastic type wrap that shreds easily into strips by just pulling  down it's whole length.  Wrap around your parcel and tie into random knots. Finish with natural threads and fibres, dried grasses, hand cut and hand written hearts and top it with some flowery blossoms. Surprisingly you will have something quite unusual that places this rather plain form of protection into the realms of gift wrap. It takes a few minutes to strip the pieces, tie and decorate with pleasing results.

Give it a go and let me know how you get on. You can drop by on my facebook link which is at the top of this page.

Happy Wrapping!
